L-Theanine

L-Theanine is a major amino acid, presenting in tea leaves. The chemical name of theanine is N-ethyl-L-glutamine, which is an amide compound. The naturally occurring theanine is all L-type. Usually, the more theanine content, the higher the grade of tea. Theanine is easily soluble in water and has a sweet taste.
